The Latvian Song and Dance Festival is one of those things that’s almost impossible to explain to someone who hasn’t been there. Nearly 30,000 singers and dancers. A UNESCO-recognized tradition. And an energy that makes you cry a little, even if you weren’t planning to.

I was sitting close to the stage when I noticed it: one choir singer’s sock had slipped down mid-song. A dancer had quietly swapped her performance shoes for sneakers. Those tiny, human moments are what this print is about.
